5th Congress of Boards of SEG Listed Companies 2010

 Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is my great honor to invite you to the 5th Congress of Boards of SEG Listed Companies. This year’s event shall be worthwhile, not only as regards the program. I am very pleased to announce that Prof. Edmund Phelps, 2006 Nobel Prize winner in the field of economics, accepted our invitation to speak at the Congress.

A debate of the best Polish economists, business practitioners and government representatives will try to answer the questions of restoration of state interventionism in economic policies. This is still not an issue in Polish conditions nonetheless several economies built on strong free market tradition provide evidence of progressively increasing role of governments. Could it be justified by the global crisis or is it a clear sign of a new era of more state control? Are the governments trying to reach a compromise between free market and Chinese-like centrally planned market economy? Finally, could the clash of antagonistic approaches and the search of new solutions be the new development drivers? You are welcome to discuss these and other problems of modern economy with us.

The Congress will also be an opportunity to announce the winners of the 4th edition of The Golden Website contest. The best websites of companies listed on WSE and NewConnect markets will be awarded during a gala dinner on the first day of the Congress. The evening will end with an interesting artistic performance.

The Congress will take place on 1-2 October 2010 at the OSSA hotel, next to Rawa Mazowiecka, a short car ride away from Warsaw.
